Synopsis
Vital, 40, works as a textile workshop foreman.
He is chosen as a “guinea pig” by Alix, 25, who came to make an undercover study on ergonomy in her father’s factory.
The boss’ daughter quickly falls under the charm of this discreet worker, who opens himself to her little by little and seems to be dreaming of another life.

A touching if somewhat schematic tale of love, labor and contact sports, The Boss’s Daughter (La Fille du patron) marks a moderately convincing feature helming debut from French actor Olivier Lousteau, who previously held roles in films by Palme d’Or laureate Abdellatif Kechiche.

About the director
Olivier Loustau wanted to be a reporter, but become an actor. He starts by palying many small parts in films for TV and cinema, although his old passion still attracts him. During the Yougoslavian war, he decides to go to Sarajevo as a journalist, along with a hphotographer. His life will later on be built around his acting career, among others with Abdellatif Kechiche, reporting (in Burkina FAso with his documentary Le Détour de Faso), screenwriting (Capone, a film by Jean-MArc brondolo for Arte, Scalp, a TV series for Canal+ and Quand la Ville More, a film by Dominique Cabrera for France 2 / Arte), along with fiction filmmaking. He directed his first short film, called C.D.D in 2010, followed by a medium-length film for Arte, Face à la Mer. La Fille du Patron will be his first feature film.
